but these two shows that a decent resolution of data is possible and compelling on TV

I think there is something to be learned from the vim of these hollywood titles - very tight storytelling

and Nigel Holmes has a great tone and pace for informative storytelling

Anyone looking for NYTimes work should look at Shan Carter's work

Anyone interested in the pencil sketch work can see Javier Zarracina's site here  (compare his El Correo work that originally saw this celebrated style with the more recent work at the Boston Globe)
